The addictive and hugely popular game for iOS and Android Flappy Bird will be shut down tomorrow according to its creator Dong Nguyen.
It appears that the fame that comes with creating a game so popular that it has sat at the top of both the iOS and Android free games chart for the last few weeks and reportedly generates $50,000 (£30,000) per day in advertising revenues has been a bit too much for the Vietnamese developer Dong Nguyen.
He announced the shutdown on Twitter, saying that it had nothing to do with legal issues and he will not sell the game, but he just doesn’t want the fame anymore.
I can call 'Flappy Bird' is a success of mine. But it also ruins my simple life. So now I hate it.

It is not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore.
