Tech and gadgets for your holiday

If you want to make your vacation free from stress, easy and relaxing, here is some great tech to invest in that will change the way you holiday:

Bluesmart Suitcase

Finally, they invented a suitcase that does more than carry your clothes from A to B. This suitcase does everything you could want it to. It has GPS, so you can track it from anywhere in the world should you lose it, and has a built in scale so you can find out whether you’re over capacity without having to awkwardly fit your suitcase onto a set of scales. It also has a digital lock to keep out thieves and a built in power bank that you can use to charge all of your gadgets on the go. With this suitcase you’ll never have to worry about being stuck without any phone battery.

Tile Tracker

This gadget is handy for all sorts of scenarios. This cute little square can be attached to your keys, your suitcase, your purse, your passport, your phone or anything else you can attach it to and your phone will give you its GPS location should you ever lose it. When you download the Tile app you can register as many tiles as you would like to your account and with the press of a button you can see exactly where it is. If you lose your phone you can even press the button on one of your tiles and it will call your phone to help you find it, even if your phone’s on silent. It’s a handy piece of tech to keep with you on holiday if you’re prone to losing things like so many of us are.

Kindle/ Kindle Fire

What could be better than having hundreds of books and hundreds of movies at your command on the go? While the Kindle is perfect for the avid reader looking to chew their way through their personal library, the Kindle fire is great for the bookworms and movie buffs that want to read a few books in between watching some films and TV series. If you’ve got any long journeys planned or expect a few lazy days, a Kindle is a great piece of tech to keep you entertained.

Smart phone and apps

If you’re the type of person that likes to keep everything in one place then you need to download a few apps before you set off on your vacation. If you’re going to or coming from the US a mobile passport app is a great way to ensure that your vacation isn’t derailed if you leave your passport in the bottom of your luggage. If you want to find cheap flights, hotels and rental cars then the Skyscanner app will also come in handy. It’s the most high-tech of its kind with a bunch of useful features on it that can change the way you travel. Get flight alerts and updates, price alerts when the fight you want drops in price, and you can search through thousands of different accommodations to find the best deals. There are absolutely no hidden fees, too. Although, regrettably there are no apps to store your EHIC card if you’re travelling through Europe. But, you can get your EHIC card renewal online and an EHIC app that will alert you when your card’s about to expire and can give you all the info you need when using it, including emergency phone numbers in all of the different European countries and how to claim your reimbursement.
