Delicious users have been in a state of flux since someone at Yahoo! leaked that it may be “sunsetting” the service back in December 2010, before the Delicious team responded that there was an ideal home for the product outside of Yahoo!. As to where that home may be had been left unanswered until this week when they announced the acquisition by Hurley and Chen to become part of their new internet company AVOS.
Hurley and Chen have been relatively quiet since leaving Youtube at some point after the Google acquisition for $1.65 Billion, but have vowed to develop the service further to help users “solve the problem of information overload” and build it into the “best information discovery service on the web”.
