HTC Posting Record Revenues For Third Month Running

HTC, the Taiwanese mobile phone and electronics manufacturer, has posted revenues of NT$45 billion (about $1.56 billion) in June, making that the third month in a row that the company has reported record revenues. The revenues for June are up 11% month to month, and the company are fast closing in on RIM to become the fourth biggest smartphone manufacturer in the world.

The company has gone from strength to strength since embracing the Android operating system, and offering highly-specced and large screened phones at very competitive prices. An agreement with Microsoft does mean they pay the Redmond-based corporation a rumoured $5 in patent fees for each phone they produce, and they also manufacture a number of Windows Phone 7 smartphones – but Android is where the big numbers are for the time being.
