App of the Week: Spotify

We’ve had the Spotify app in Europe for a long time, but with our friends on the other side of the pond just getting their hands on Spotify’s fantastic music service for the first time I thought it would be only fair to make Spotify our App of the Week.

The Spotify app is free but you need a $9.99 (or £9.99 in the UK) Spotify Premium subscription to make use of the streaming or offline modes. Offline being the most important option as it lets you save whole playlists of your favourite tunes from Spotify’s massive 15 million song library to your phone for use where you don’t have a 2.5/3G or WiFi connection (hello commuters). If you want an impressive library of music always at your fingertips and don’t own all the music you would like then Spotify works wonders.
