UN Crowdsources AIDS Strategy With CrowdOutAids

CrowdOutAIDS

Each day AIDS infects about 3000 15-24 year-olds, and the UN programme responsible for overseeing the worldwide response to the issue, UNAIDS, has reached out to that age-group to find novel ways of addressing the problem.

They are looking to the worldwide community of connected young adults to crowdsource new ways of thinking about HIV/AIDS with CrowdOutAIDS. If you have an idea of how to better educate, better protect, or give more rapid and better care for those infected then UNAIDS are after you to connect with the programme now and they will ask for your advice over the coming months – with an aim of finding a solution aimed at young people, rather than the traditional top-down approach that can only go so far with public health programmes.

The UN is a huge and cumbersome organisation filled with few under the age of 30, so it is great to see them reaching out for help from those facing the same life choices, decisions, and problems that could help keep more people safe from the disease.
