HTC Including Dropbox

New HTC Users To Get Free 5GB Dropbox Accounts

HTC Including DropboxCloud storage is becoming increasingly important for both consumers and business people, with many of us syncing our address books, calendars, photos, and more across various devices and for backup, and technology companies are starting to bundle cloud storage with their products. Dell gives away 2GB Datasafe storage with its laptops, HP TouchPad buyers got a free 50GB account from Box.net, and now HTC are offering all customers running Sense 3.5+ devices(eh. HTC Rhyme) will get an extra 3GB added for free to the 2GB storage already offered for free with DropBox when they connect to the platform with their phone.

Currently Dropbox users get a free 2GB of storage when they sign up, and can increase that up to 10GB by inviting friends and performing certain tasks. This extra 3GB for little effort will make reaching that 10Gb even easier.

It doesn’t look like HTC Windows 7 Phone users will be getting in on the deal, but Microsoft already offer a free 25GB of cloud storage through its SkyDrive service which is designed to work with WP7 phones – so I doubt any users will be too disappointed
