Android tablets have already started to catch up with the dominant iPad, but Google is not one to rest of their laurels, and the rumour mill suggests that the search giant will showcase an 11″ tablet from Samsung at the upcoming I/O conference, inventively named Nexus 11.
SamMobile, a site with a good track record on getting these leaks right, are claiming that the Nexus 11 will have the following specs:
- 11″ Super PLS TFT
- 8 Megapixel
- 2 Megapixel
- Octa-Core A15 / A7 (Exynos 5410)
- Micro SD 64 GB (Rumoured)
That “Octa-Core” will be the first 8-core processor available in a tablet, and everyone will be pleased to see the possibility of a MicroSD slot with the possibility for an extra 64GB of storage at minimal extra cost.
No word yet on the weight of this 11″ tablet, but Samsung will have to make sure its pretty light to avoid the device becoming unwieldy. I would imagine 11″ is probably the maximum size home users will want, but then I’ve been wrong on these things before.
