Apple Gives Up and Releases Budget iPhone 5C

iPhone 5C

Apple may have invented the smartphone space, and have led the world on build quality, but they have finally given up on trying to lead and instead have started to follow the Android manufacturers and make a phone for the budget market as well.

One of the biggest complaints about Samsung’s smartphones is that they are “plasticky” and they just don’t feel particularly well built when compared to Apple’s devices. Now you too can buy an Apple product that feels like its made by Samsung for just that little bit extra “Apple tax”.

The internals of the iPhone 5C are decent for a mid-level smartphone with an Apple A6 chip, an 8MP camera and a 4″ Retina Display, but whereas Apple previously just reduced the price of their older model smartphones when a new one came out, that is no longer the case. No longer will you just be sacrificing a slightly better chip or screen and deciding on a heavily discounted iPhone 5, you will instead get a garish, brightly coloured, monstrosity made of plastic. Buying Apple used to mean buying impressive built quality, with brushed aluminium and glass. That is no longer the case.
