Meetings are critical to getting projects done, but they can be an inefficient use of time and a headache to administer. The new Meetings iPad app (App Store) hopes to improve that situation and make meetings a better experience for everyone.
The app lets you select those you wish to invite to a meeting, with a simple diagram allowing you to work out a seating plan and to see who can and cannot attend.
Creating a structure for a meeting is straight forward with bullet points and numbered lists, which can be dragged and moved around on the screen, with notes and actions added when needed. The structure created by keeping everything within a single app, makes it much easier to keep the meeting running smoothly, and means that there is no longer the hassle of having to write up everything afterwards from some scrappy notes.
Moreover, the Meetings app lets you easily create PDFs of the agenda, notes, and minutes of the meeting and send them out to all those involved, making sure everyone is clear on the action plan agreed in the room.
The app also saves all the details of each meeting for the future, which means that you now have a searchable database of who attended what and what was said, along with a meeting framework from meetings that you can apply to future meetings to make sure everything continues to move smoothly.
