Following the Amazon Web Services outage earlier this week, a number of major websites and web services have been experiencing downtime today including Dropbox, Google App Engine, YouTube, and Tumblr. It is still unclear how related all these instances are, but one possibility is an uplink provider having issues.
The problem is widespread enough to have a notable affect on US traffic levels and has even started to spill over into Asia, but services appear to have been restored.
