Infographic: How China differs from the West on the web

China has risen quickly to become the world’s largest ecommerce market and a target for Western companies looking to expand internationally, but China is a very different market to those in the US and Europe.

Chinese internet users not only have a limited, firewalled internet, but Chinese internet users also search and buy products differently online. Baidu dominates the Chinese search market, not Google, and Weibo dominates social interactions not Twitter.
