24 years ago Apple was a true computing visionary as they predicted tablets and similar devices that many people are using today (and most of them use an iPad!), and according to an old video made as part of John Sculley’s 1987 keynote at EDUCOM Apple’s prediction of a tool like Siri was only out by a month or so.
Andy Baio dug up the video that refers to the tool as a “Knowledge Navigator” (Apple used the Navigator term for its products back then rather than iDevice) – but what it could do is eerily similar to what Siri brings to the table – and the date that the video was set on? 16th September 2011.
